Alan Kelly
Alan has over 25 year's experience in the recruitment advertising industry . He launched Barkers in Scotland many moons ago and grew the business into the market leader , won a collection of awards , including Agency of the Year in this very competiton , and was laterally one of the most profitable parts of the Barkers Group . He stepped down as M.D. in 2004 and moved upstairs to become Chairman for the next 2 years.
Taking a well earned rest for the next 18 months , Alan was tempted back into the industry by his old friend , Andrew Young at THIRTYTHREE and has helped launch the business in Scotland .

Managing Director - Blackad
Recruitment communication is in Alan’s blood, which sadly disqualifies him from major sporting events. Formerly head of creative at Barkers Scotland, then Creative Director at TMP Worldwide in Scotland, Alan established Blackad in 2002. Blackad creates digital copy for clients such as Vodafone and RBS Group. Alan’s also trained hundreds of people to write digital copy.

Pascal Holt - Brand Savvy
With a career spanning 14 years, Pascal Holt has worked for some of the UK’s top recruitment advertising agencies and has notched up over 50 national creative awards along the way. In 2007 Pascal decided to go it alone and launched BRANDSavvy Limited, a branding agency specialising in building big brands with small budgets.

Sarah Jane Thompson
Copywriter, BRANDSavvy Ltd
With a background in journalism, writing for the web and recruitment advertising, Sarah Jane is currently in charge of copy for BRANDSavvy. Prior to joining Pascal Holt’s team in Paisley, Sarah Jane worked with him in the Recruitment Creative department at Barkers Scotland, having joined there from S1. During her time at Barkers, Sarah Jane picked up the first ever One to Watch award at the Scottish Recruitment Advertising Awards in 2005 – an award designed to acknowledge fresh talent in the recruitment advertising industry.
With experience of writing from all parts of the media, including stints on Vogue and Cosmopolitan, as well as plenty of time spent hammering out concepts for high profile recruitment campaigns, she is well placed to cast a critical eye over this year’s entries. Cars are her other passion, and previous roles have included Features Writer at Parker’s and Car, as well as her continuing freelance work for the Motoring section of The Herald and Evening Times.
