Chris Logue

A business graduate of Heriot Watt University in 1984, Chris Logue has worked in the recruitment industry for over 30 years.
Chris began his career with Melville Craig where he was employee number six in a business that grew to have over 200 staff with turnover in excess of £50m and was regarded as Scotland’s pre-eminent recruiter. He joined as a Graduate Trainee and within four years was appointed a Director, managing teams of up to 50 Consultants across a range of specialist sectors.
He set up Melville Craig’s Executive Resourcing team in 1992 and grew this to a team of five highly-performing Search Consultants filling senior roles at up to £200k salary levels. Chris was very hands-on as well as leading the team and worked with large multinationals in the private sector as well as the NHS, Local Government and a variety of Quango’s.
Then 13 years ago Chris, along with fellow Directors, Guy Martin and Michelle Lownie, left Melville Craig following its takeover by Search Consultancy to set up Eden Scott. Working from a single office in Edinburgh they have built Eden Scott into one of Scotland best recruitment consultancies with a turnover of £15m and over 65 staff in four offices across the country. Eden Scott now recruits for 20 different industries and have developed a team of specialist in each sector.
While Chris has continued to lead the Senior and Executive Recruitment he has also managed the Sales and Marketing teams and the creation of our Digital Recruitment Team to meet the need of the ever growing digital industry in the UK.
Chris has driven the business forward ensuring good growth throughout the various ups and downs in the economy. With his years of recruitment experience and business acumen he is very much looking forward to casting his eye over this year’s finalist.
