Rae began his career within the contact centre industry, initially as a Sales Advisor at British Airways and then developing his operational management experience during his 8 year career with the UK’s national carrier.

Staying within the Contact Centre industry, he found his passion for recruiting within the volume arena and now has 13 years of experience within the talent attraction and acquisition space, and his wealth of knowledge of volume and new talent recruiting is vast.

Based in the North East of England, Rae has headed up the volume recruitment functions of some of the UK’s leading brands such as T-Mobile, Barclaycard and Tesco Bank recruiting in to Contact Centres, Retail and Graduates. In his current role of Head of Talent Entry Recruitment at BT, he leads his UK and Hungarian teams in delivering the 450 graduates and 2,300 apprentice hiring requirement for 2017, working with in excess of 75,000 applications across both programmes. This keeps him busy!

Outside of the world of recruitment, he lives in Chester-Le-Street near Durham with his wife and two daughters aged 11 and 9, has a love for travelling, with Sri Lanka and Japan being his particular favourites, and follows his boyhood local team  - Brentford football club.
