Who Can Enter & What Is Eligible?


Entries are open to anyone working in recruitment including: recruitment companies and advertising agencies.
Companies and agencies must be based in the UK or Ireland but outside of the M25. If you are a London agency your work must be for a British client, with a head office out-with the M25.


All creative work must have been published, displayed, broadcast, mailed or launched during the period 8th July 2016 and 26 June 2017.
Work that was previously entered in to the Recruitment Business Awards is not eligible. 


How Much Does it Cost to Enter?

First entry: £175 + VAT
Additional entry: £99 + VAT

Members of The Drum Network receive a 10% discount off the entry fee

How Do I Enter? - Recruitment Companies

You are required to register and then follow the links to enter the awards for 2017.

Business categories:

You are required to write a 2000 word report demonstrating how you have excelled in recruitment over the past year.

 Executive Summary: 500 words

 Company Overview:

         The services you provide

         Staffing structure and training

         Anything new or innovative in the past year

 Two case studies on how you have fulfilled a client’s brief:

         Client objectives

         Your strategy

         Challenges faced

         Your solution – how was it innovative/effective to their needs?

         Results

Please also provide two client testimonials. NOT included in word count but please do not exceed 200 words each.


Images – In the event of a nomination you will need an image to represent your entry. 

  •  Your Company logo (not the clients) (jpeg, max size 10mb)
  • You can upload up to two additional images - your team, office etc.
  • Please note the first image uploaded will be shown online and used in the show in the event of a nomination. 



How Do I Enter? - Creative Agencies (Advertising)

Creative/Advertising Categories:

All creative work must have been published, displayed, broadcast, mailed or launched during the period between the 8 July 2016 and the 27 June 2017. Previous work entered will not be eligible.

All entries must include a 200-500 word summary covering brief, objectives, idea, media strategy and effectiveness. In all creative categories, judges will be looking for work that meets a specific brief, demonstrates originality in execution, creative excellence and wherever possible evidence of effectiveness.  

Please also supply hi-res images of the work in question

  •  Please use a leading image in box 1 (jpeg, max size 10mb)
  • You can upload another 2 images of the work
  • Please note the image in box 1 will go live and be used in the show in the event of a nomination.

Entry Rules

  • All entries must be supplied in the format stated in the “How to Enter” section.
  • The judges reserve the right to re-allocate entries into other categories where they feel necessary. The judges also reserve the right to remove categories that aren’t strong enough to have work nominated. These entries will not be refunded as they will have been judged accordingly with the rest.
  • The organisers reserve the right to retain entries for subsequent publication/exhibition in relation to the awards.
  • No feedback will be given relating to individual entries.
  • The judge’s decision is final.
  • If you do not abide by the rules, which results in a cost to the organisers, then the submitting company is liable for costs.
  • Each entry must be treated as a separate entry and payment must be made for each.
  • Entering work is at your own risk – entries will be returned. Whilst every care will be taken in the storage of entries, the organisers will not accept responsibility for loss or damage of entries.
  • All entries submitted should conform to the British Codes of Advertising and Sales Promotion. Any entry that has a complaint upheld against it by the Advertising Standards Authority will be disqualified.

When Will Nominations be Announced?

The nominations will be revealed on 15 August 2017.

All entrants will be notified when the announcement has been made and nominees will receive a congratulatory email and finalist certificate in the post.  

Please note: One finalist certificate will be sent per company and to the company as submitted online.
